Jade Theophanes

Jade Theophanes is currently working on the first draft of her debut novel, a YA Dystopian Fantasy about an 18-year-old boy named Thane Gundar, living in a country called Ndama, which worships beauty and strives for it.

Thane was born into a beautiful and successful upper-class household. This upbringing fosters his selfishness and pride, making him more of an anti-hero to start.

When he is chosen for the Ndaman Priesthood, which is all but a death sentence because of their harsh beauty rituals, he realizes he must escape. But, he has to get over his prejudices, pride, selfishness, and cowardice to succeed in doing so.
